12. Hypoglycemia Survey

During 1997 a survey into all aspects of hypoglycemia has been held.  The survey consisted of  hundreds of questions, covering various aspects of hypoglycemia. The survey has been divided into five sections: diet, symptoms, treatment, diagnosis, and quality of life. After a year of surveying the reception of forms was closed at February 15, 1998. Approximately 3500 forms were received in total, a huge response. During the spring of  1998 the Survey Team will be focusing on processing the database that has been built. The initial results of the survey will be published on the survey homepage; keep looking out for them at:

http://huizen.dds.nl/~hypo/survey

With the survey, the team hopes to find out if there are any unrecognized correlations between hypoglycemia and other seemingly unrelated factors. One goal is to find different causes of hypoglycemia, another to correlate successful remedies to those causes.

The project is an initiative of the Hypo Survey Team of the Hypoglycemia Mailing List, a group of about 15 people of the Hypoglycemia Mailing List, who are scattered over the globe and work together towards a common goal by means of email. Some background info about the survey (incl. member photos!) can be found at: http://www.silver-bayou.com/whatsama/survey.htm .
