Drugs interfering with blood glucose levels |
These drugs, a.o., may have the side effect
of interfering with blood glucose. Alprazola (Xanax)(for anxiety): Increased & decreased blood sugar levels. Bumetanide, Brand Name: Bumex (diuretic), blood glucose increase, also section on Estrogens (also b.g. increase). Pentamidine (antibiotic): side effect of hypoglycemia. Terbutaline (Bricanyl inhaler, for asthma) raises blood sugar (see Special Features). Hismanal (astemizole) increased appetite/body weight, could have an effect on blood sugar. |
